Ah, March. You have definitely come in like a lion! The beautiful thing about March, though, is that we are moving forward towards Spring, a reawakening of foliage, internal spirit, and longer days. And when things move forward, it seems natural that things need to be left behind. For March, it is leaving Winter behind. For us, it is a whole host of possibilities. Here are a few examples of good things to leave behind:
~negative self talk
~putting yourself last
~ignoring consistent self care
~making excuses
~criticizing others
~not making time for you
As we go through this always transitional month, let’s all make efforts to be more mindful of the importance of self awareness, self care, and self love. If you set goals for yourself, whether they be fitness, nutrition, health, wellness, career, or relationship goals, keep them realistic and do not be discouraged by little setbacks. Stay positive, keep challenging yourself, reach out to other like-minded friends to help you stay on track, and leave behind all of the negative! Put your health, your well being, and your overall self first, as that will ultimately make you feel better, look better, and be better.
I will be doing the same. And, with that, I am excited to share with you that I will once again be ‘Running for Charity’. Twice I have said I will never again run a full marathon, and now twice I have been proven wrong! I am honored to raise funds for The United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation, and I will be representing them in the 2025 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Stay tuned for more details!
